Taiwan is home to a dynamic technology and innovation ecosystem, with science-based companies increasingly looking to international markets to scale their impact.
This July, Larta Institute, in partnership with A Team Hub Ventures and Mosaic Venture Lab, hosted LA Landing Taiwan at the Taiwan Tech Arena—bringing together founders, investors, and ecosystem leaders to explore actionable pathways into the U.S. market.
The interactive sessions were driven by Rohit Shukla (Founder & CEO, Larta Institute), Ethan Huang (Managing Director, A Team Hub Ventures), and Johnny Yu (Managing Director, Mosaic Venture Lab). Drawing on Larta’s three decades of commercialization experience alongside deep local market leadership, the discussion focused on what it takes for science and technology ventures to establish traction, build strategic partnerships, and navigate investment readiness in the United States.
Supporting the Path to the U.S. Market
The conversations in Taiwan focused on the practical considerations founders face as they explore opportunities in the United States, from understanding customers and validating demand to developing partnerships, preparing for investment, and positioning their technologies for new markets.
Los Angeles offers a strong entry point for this work. The region brings together interconnected ecosystems spanning bioscience, cleantech, advanced manufacturing, aerospace, digital technology, and other sectors. For international founders, that diversity provides access to potential customers, strategic partners, investors, and specialized expertise within one of the world’s major innovation economies.
These connections are particularly valuable for science-based companies, where successful market entry often depends on navigating complex industry relationships and building credibility with the right partners.
Building the Taiwan-Los Angeles Pathway
Larta has continued to deepen its engagement with Taiwan over the past year, working alongside founders and ecosystem partners to strengthen connections between Taiwan and Los Angeles.
In August, this work will continue through the New Taipei City Global Bridge program, delivered in partnership with A Team Hub Ventures. Larta will welcome 10 established Taiwanese companies and 11 representatives to Los Angeles for an intensive program focused on ecosystem exposure, commercialization strategy, and investor positioning, culminating in Demo Day.
The program builds on relationships developed through Larta’s engagement in Taiwan and provides participating companies with direct exposure to the Los Angeles innovation ecosystem. Workshops, mentorship, and connections with local stakeholders will help founders refine their U.S. market strategies and identify opportunities for continued engagement.

Global Bridge: Connecting Innovation Ecosystems
Larta has been building international commercialization pathways through Global Bridge since 1997. Today, the program spans 21 international partnerships across five continents, connecting founders, institutions, and governments with markets, expertise, and investment networks beyond their home regions.
Our work with Taiwan reflects that approach in action. Relationships developed with founders and ecosystem partners in Taiwan are creating opportunities for companies to engage directly in Los Angeles, while strengthening connections between two globally significant innovation ecosystems.
As Larta expands its engagement with Taiwan, our focus remains on building practical, sustained pathways for science and technology companies to navigate new markets, form strategic relationships, and advance commercialization.
The upcoming New Taipei City Global Bridge program in Los Angeles will continue this work, bringing the next group of Taiwanese innovators into Larta’s network and creating new opportunities for collaboration across the Pacific.
