Danny Johnson

As the climate crisis intensifies with heat waves, droughts, megafires, and floods, restoring abundance in nature becomes a critical imperative. This discussion focuses on the idea of moving beyond sustaining an already diminished state of nature towards active restoration of the richness and array of critical natural functions we depend on for survival in a climate-changed world. By focusing on innovative strategies to restore our oceans, revive freshwater flows in rivers, wetlands, and aquifers, and create resilient networks of wildlands, we can harness nature’s power to avoid the worst impacts of climate change. Investing in these transformative solutions not only protects natural landscapes but also fosters climate resilience, ensuring a thriving and balanced environment for future generations
